New Species!
We are cutting back on our Hahn's Macaws, and other New World species and
focusing more on the Poicephalus birds. To that end, we are planning to offer
Red-Bellieds, Orange vested Senegals, and Meyers Parrots as well as Timneh Greys
in 2010-2011.

- How do find out if a baby is available ?
- How do I order a baby ?
- Do I have to place a deposit ?
- If I change my mind, do I get my
deposit back?
- Why don't I get to visit my baby in
person ?
- When will my baby be weaned?
The easiest way to check is to look on the site. If the baby is
still showing for sale, then it's most likely still for sale. The
best way to be certain is to email me at
tina@fofaviary.net to be
certain.
In the navigational menu is a set of links on how to order a
baby. Read through them, and find out if the baby you want is
available. If it is, then submit a reservation form. You can choose
to place a deposit using paypal, or send a check or money order for
25% of the price of the baby to hold it for you.
No, you don't. But, I won't reserve a baby in your name if you
don't have a deposit on that baby. That means you take the chance of
that baby being sold before it's ready to go to its' new home. By
placing a deposit on the baby, you're securing it.
No. I do not refund deposits unless a baby has died while still
being hand-fed. You place a deposit at your own risk. We spend time
and money on each baby, and keep a baby off of the market when you
place a deposit. All deposits are non-refundable. However, if you
want to change to another species before the baby is ready, you can
switch the deposit to the new species. In some circumstances, such
as losing a job or an illness, I will be happy to credit you towards
another baby later on.
We run under the MAP 'closed aviary' protocol. We do this to keep
potential illness out of our aviary and nursery. This means that
when a baby leaves here, it has not been exposed to potentially
harmful diseases. You can read more about this under the link
"Why are we a closed aviary?".
We abundance wean our babies. This means that we allow the baby
to set the pace of its weaning. Some babies wean on their own fast,
some are slower. We don't rush them as it makes a more confident,
self-assured baby when they don't suffer from food based anxieties.
