Prices of birds do not include airfreight/shipping charges, nor any
ancillary charges such as crating charge, DNA sexing charge, etc) that are
add-ons to an order (Please see the reserving page for a full explanation of
all charges).
You must be 18 years or older to purchase a
bird. If you're not yet 18, your parents must purchase the bird for you. No
exceptions.
We reserve the right to refuse to sell a bird at any time. If we
exercise this right after a deposit has been placed, we will either refund
your deposit or transfer it to another bird of the same species and gender.
Birds are shipped FOB (Freight On Board) out of Sacramento Airport (SMF) or
may be be picked up locally in the Solano County, CA area. Crating charge is
$20.00 to $25.00 per species, depending upon the size of the bird and the
quantity ordered. For local pick-ups we request that you bring your own
carrier and outfit it with some food for the trip home.
If you do not have a carrier, one
can be purchased from us at 25.00 – 35.00 depending on the species and size
of bird.
Live arrival and health guaranteed! If a health concern should arise after
arrival, we must be notified within 72 hours of onset of symptoms and the
bird(s) must be seen by an avian veterinarian within this same time frame or
our guarantee is void. We do guarantee all domestic birds to be free of
pathogenic bacteria, viral disease, and congenital hatch defects. If a bird
dies within 72 hours of receipt, it must be submitted to an avian
veterinarian for necropsy and histology within 24 hours of death. It must be
kept refrigerated but not frozen. We are not responsible for airfreight
charges or veterinary charges after birds leave our aviary.

25% nonrefundable deposit will reserve any domestic baby until ready to
ship.

DNA
sexing is included in the price of the bird, if the bird is over 300.00. For
birds under 300.00, DNA sexing is 20.00. Some birds do not require DNA
sexing due to dimorphism or genetic absolutes. Health certificates are
$50.00.
All deposits are non-refundable.
There is no regret purchase refund. Be absolutely certain you want
this baby. If you change your mind, you forfeit the deposit on that bird.
You may change your species selection prior to the baby being ready to ship,
for a charge of 50.00 if the baby is older than 8 weeks. If the baby is
under 8 weeks old, you may change to another species for no charge.
Payment in full of the balance on a baby is due within seven days of
notification to the buyer that the bird is weaned and ready to go. If undue
delays occur that are not the fault/under the control of Flights of Fantasy
Aviary (other than temporary weather conditions) or if the buyer requests
that we keep a baby here past weaning, a charge of $5.00 per bird per day
boarding charge will be assessed until shipment occurs. If payment of
balance and arrangements for shipping or delivery have not been made by the
purchaser within fourteen days of notification of weaning, Flights of
Fantasy Aviary reserves the right to cancel the order and retain the monies
already paid. You will get 3 emails and a phone call. That’s it.
We are a closed aviary and do not have facilities to allow buyers to view
our babies. For local sales in the Solano/Yolo County areas, we can arrange
deliveries. Birds can be picked up locally via arrangements that accommodate
mutual schedules. We will get with you about a mutual and safe location to
transfer the baby to you. We cannot drive more than 30 minutes outside of
our city to meet with a buyer, as we are needed at home to feed babies. So
be absolutely certain you can make the drive to pick your baby up! We
normally do not do deliveries after
6pm
and we prefer not to do weekend deliveries. If you request a weekend
delivery or an after hours delivery, we have the right to charge a 20.00
service charge for our time.
